Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 13, 2026
TixHQ ("TixHQ", "we", "us") provides software that lets venues and event organizers ("Organizers") publish events, sell tickets, and manage check-in, and lets attendees ("Buyers") discover events and purchase tickets. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to tixhq.xyz and the TixHQ application.
1. Information we collect
Information Organizers provide
- Account details — name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store passwords in plain text).
- Venue and event content — venue name, branding, logos, event listings, ticket types, and pricing you create.
- Payout and payment configuration — your connected Stripe account identifier and payment settings. We do not store your bank details; those are held by Stripe.
Information Buyers provide
- Order details — name and email address used to purchase tickets, and the events and ticket quantities you buy.
- Payment information — card and payment details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe. TixHQ does not receive or store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data — basic log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used to operate and secure the service.
- Cookies — we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and protect against fraud. See "Cookies" below.
2. How we use information
- To provide the service: create accounts, list events, process ticket sales, generate tickets and QR codes, and run check-in.
- To process payments and payouts through Stripe and apply applicable fees.
- To send transactional email — order confirmations, ticket delivery, event reminders, account verification, and password resets.
- To secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- To provide support and respond to your requests.
3. How information is shared
- With Organizers. When you buy a ticket, the Organizer of that event receives your name, email, and order details so they can deliver tickets, run check-in, and contact you about the event. The Organizer's own use of your data is governed by their privacy practices.
- With service providers. We share data with vendors who help us operate, including Stripe (payments and payouts), our database and hosting providers, and email delivery providers (such as Resend, SendGrid, or Mailgun, depending on configuration).
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of users.
- Business transfers. If TixHQ is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as an independent controller of payment data and is certified to PCI-DSS standards. TixHQ uses Stripe Connect so that funds for ticket sales are routed to the Organizer's connected Stripe account. Your card details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are not stored on TixHQ servers.
5. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in, maintain your session securely, and protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Because these cookies are essential to the service, disabling them may prevent you from signing in.
6. Data retention
We retain account and order information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Organizers may export and delete attendee data they control from their dashboard.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@tixhq.xyz. For data tied to a specific event, you may also need to contact the Organizer, who controls that data. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
9. Children
TixHQ is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International users
TixHQ is operated from the United States and information may be processed there. By using the service you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes may be communicated through the service.
